Don't drink and race

Despite F1 being sponsored by an alcoholic beverage company, the top levels of international and national motorsport run a strict zero-tolerance to drivers and alcohol. It makes perfect sense!

More important is probably the morning-after effects; we're not implying that Mini racers enjoy a dram of whisky with their corn flakes each race morning. Please see the gentle reminder to drivers on the downloads page, to be careful with excessive drinking at race weekends.

It's not aimed at anyone in particular, more a wider message about driver and car safety.

Don't drink and drive. Or rather, don't go wild the night before a race - you might still be over the legal limit the following morning, and no one wants that.

Please see tech bulletin number 3.
