With over 700 trade stands and exhibits at 2016’s first big motoring event of the year, motorsport fans were in for a real treat at Autosport International’s 26th outing.
Imagine a large indoor Mini show, then quadruple it in size, add a live action arena and surround yourself with some of the world’s highest performance race and road cars – only then do you get an idea of the scale of this event. It’s absolutely massive!
The Mini 7 Club stood proudly in the centre of the action thanks to Charlie Budd and crew from Pristine Condition.
The team brought along two cars to promote the club, one a 2015-spec Se7en and the other a rather smart new build, which Charlie hopes to have ready for the first round on 28th March.
“During the four days of the Autosport show, we spoke to a huge variety of people about the club,” says Charlie. “There were ex Mini 7 racers now building cars to join the growing grids, potential new drivers - some already in build - and Mini 7 racers from all 5 decades.”
The stand featured a whole range of merchandise, some seen before like the Corgi die-casts, and others new, like our fresh range of clothing from Dread.
Fusion Fabrications also had some cool components on show, such as this neat stainless steel Mini Se7en inlet and exhaust manifold.
We were also joined at the event by all sorts of Mini racers, from grass-track specials through to historic Appendix K cars and the Swiftune 1275 GT racer seen at Goodwood last year.
